- The Electric Vehicle Company announces the launch of the Volta line of high performance electric motorcycles. The Volta cycles feature lithium-ion polymer batteries, which are light, recyclable, and power the cycle up to 100 miles on one charge. "We are very excited about our motorcycles. They look great, handle great, have amazing performance and help save the environment," says William Kent, president and co-founder of The Electric Vehicle Company.
